Port Elizabeth, the "Friendly City", is renowned for
its beautiful beaches and fine swimming and watersports
amenities. A short drive away is a malariafree game-filled,
bushveld region of almost a million hectares. Prime
coastal destinations not far from PE are Cape St Francis/St
Francis Bay and the surfers’ paradise of Jeffreys Bay.

and Pollock beaches, a mecca for swimmers, surfers
and watersport enthusiasts.
- Bayworld Oceanarium and Snakepark, famous for its
daily dolphin and seal presentations. Venomous snakes,
crocodiles and tortoises may be seen at the adjoining
snake park
- Addo Elephant Park, 50 minutes drive from the city,
offering day, night and sunset game drives and excellent
sightings of elephant.
- Shamwari Game Reserve, an exclusive game reserve
offering the Big Five and an attractive day/night
programme.
Port Elizabeth Airport is about 8 kms from the City
Centre.
